UCF Biology Building Renovation

The Biological Sciences building requires an extensive renovation to upgrade its building systems and lab spaces, which are original to its construction in 1975. The updates will keep this heavily used facility operational to support the high volume of student and faculty traffic.

Project Status: Underway
Construction Progress: 22% complete (as of Nov. 1, 2024)
Target Completion Date: February 2026

The Biology building renovation will be carried out in several phases, focusing on one floor per semester. Key improvements will include updating interior finishes, replacing portions of the brick exterior, upgrading electrical systems, installing new heating and air handling units, and upgrading the fire alarm system and elevator. The project is expected to be completed by early 2026.
