Curtain Rises On New District Energy Plant 1 Curtainwall
UCF Facilities Planning and Construction (FP&C) recently completed the installation of new curtainwall at our District Energy Plant 1 on our main campus. This energy plant, the first of four energy plants on our campus, provides chilled water and other utility resources to campus. The new curtainwall replaces the original system, and allows for future removal to switch out or upgrade chillers and large equipment. While not a flashy project, these deferred maintenance projects make up a large portion of our FP&C workload, and are necessary to keep the university operating efficiently! A big thanks to KMF Architects and Ovation Construction, and our UCF FP&C project manager Chris Harris for your efforts on this work!
