Engineering 1 Chilled Water Air Handlers Replaced

UCF’s Planning, Design and Construction unit recently completed a project to replace three end-of-life chilled water air handlers at the Engineering 1 building. We updated automated control systems to better managed the air flows and keep consistent temperatures and added UV lights to the system for better, more sanitary, air quality as well as benefiting the university with a reduction to maintenance costs and energy efficiency. Benefits to the university include a reduction to maintenance costs and energy efficiency. Thanks to Project Managers Evan Shick and Walter Gordon and our partners at Matern Professional Engineering, DPR Construction and TLC Engineering Solutions.
